Ax-Stream is an association of highly qualified experts working across Europe. As well as performing approved Axure training, they use Axure in leading roles on major projects in blue chip companies.

Background: Ritch has worked in IT since 1985 and in over 20 countries. At the fortune 100 Data General Corporation he was promoted to be the UK’s youngest ever Senior Consultant, and performed IT consultancy, at board level, in eg: GEC, AMEC, and Tyrell F1 Racing, as well as co-leading a $180M project at TetraPak (world’s largest private company).

Education: Ritch holds a BA (Hons) in Creative Design, an MSc (Distinction) in IT-Computing (passed with over 80%) and a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) from Loughborough University’s Human Sciences and Advanced Technology research centre (HUSAT), as well as a PRINCE2 foundation certificate (passed with 82%). He has lectured at Masters level, across 5 countries, in: UXD, UCD, Usability, IT Strategy, Business Analysis and IT development methodology.

UX Expertise: Ritch has worked in UX, UCD and Usability since 1995 and has particular expertise in designing and usability testing early conceptual prototypes (using Axure). He has published numerous refereed papers in this field and was on the editorial board of the “Encyclopaedia of HCI” (2007). Ritch is a member of, and guest speaker for, the User Experience Professionals Association (UXPA).

Axure Expertise: Ritch has been using Axure since 2008 and focuses on: complex Axure prototyping, developing ‘intelligent’ widget libraries and strategic work around integrating Axure into UCD and Agile methods. He has used Axure in UX lead roles, on $Multi-Million projects, for eg: Dell, Bank of America and Thomson-Reuters. Ritch contributed to “Axure RP 6 Prototyping Essentials” (the 1st Axure book), is an “Axure Fu Master” on the Axure forum, owns the Axure RP Pro LinkedIn group and is a regular panel speaker at AxureWorld.

Training Expertise: Ritch has been an Approved Axure trainer since 2009 and has successfully delivered Axure training in 10 countries. He is a UK qualified technology teacher (Cert. Ed.), an EU approved IT Trainer-Trainer, and a Fellow of the Institute for Learning. Ritch also qualified as a Master Practitioner in NLP, has certificates in “NLP Techniques for Advanced Learning and Facilitation” and Transactional Analysis (TA). He has lectured extensively on education and consulting skills at high ranking universities across the world, published numerous papers on IT related learning in refereed international journals, and (co)authored 3 books on IT and education.
